The Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure established a new Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan (FTIP 2030). For this purpose, the entire evaluation methodology of the 2003 Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan was subjected to a fundamental review for all transport modes.
The BMVI has appointed three specialist coordinators to support the entire process of preparing the 2030 traffic forecast, developing an evaluation methodology at the level of international knowledge and assessing possible infrastructure projects. With Prof. Dr. Christoph Walther as spokesman for the specialist coordinators and Dr.-Ing. Volker Waßmuth from PTV Transport Consult GmbH, the PTV Group is represented twice.

Requirements profile for the coordinators
PTV participates in the overall conception of the work required for this, in the preparation of the performance specifications for the various projects and in the quality assurance for the implementation of the projects.
Quality assurance and method manual FTIP
The mandate was extended in 2015 to include the quality assurance of the evaluation accounts for the proposed projects and the preparation of the methodology manual.
