PTV Group presents next level public transport planning technology at UITP Summit 2023 in Barcelona
Karlsruhe 25. May 2023. PTV Group will be exhibiting at UITP Global Public Transport Summit 2023, from June 4 to 7, 2023 in Barcelona, Spain. The world’s market leader for mobility planning software will present its latest solutions for public transport planning as well as state-of-the-art calculation methods which cover all strategic processes of traffic engineering and transport planning.
Visitors to PTV Group’s booth #6D248 at Hall 6, will discover how the new PTV Lines tool can simplify the daily work of public transport service planning. This easy-to-use web platform provides planners with all the functionalities for a quick design and modification of new and existing public transport supplies – without requiring expert knowledge in planning software. PTV’s experts will give interested parties a brief introduction to this cloud tool and explain how it facilitates sharing, reduces copy errors, and accelerates creativity and productivity during the planning process.
In addition to its market-leading tools such as Visum, Vissim and Optima, PTV Group will also present PTV Access at the UITP Summit, a new dashboard to visualize the accessibility of cities. PTV Access is based on PTV Model2Go, a smart technology to automatize the building of standardized transport models. Visitors can explore how accessible everyday destinations are in Germany’s 80 largest cities.

Additionally, PTV experts will be present in dedicated sessions of the UITP Summit program. Janine Stuchl, Vice President Marketing & Communications, will present how technology can help to improve accessibility, sustainability and user experience in urban mobility in the parallel session "Mobility for low-density areas: Building a new MaaS vision" (5 June, from 12:00 to 13:00, Moonlight, Hall 4). Klaus Nökel, Head of Competence Center Mobility, will speak in a parallel session (5 June, from 09:30 to 11:00, Twilight, Hall 4) about “Leveraging Passenger Flow and Crowd Management with Technology and Innovation”.
Community Action to underline importance of public transport
To highlight the theme of this year's UITP Summit of public transport and sustainability, PTV Group is launching a social media campaign. It aims to draw attention to the importance of public transport in ensuring access to society and public life. Everyone is invited to support the campaign by having their picture taken with a cardboard saying, “Mobility is a Human Ride” and share their public transport story with the Hashtag #mobilityisahumanride on social media, such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter.
