Hi, I’m Thomas from PTV Group.

The new version of PTV Visum includes a huge change for multi-resolution modelling in the junction editor. Let’s see how it works.

Firstly, the displayed geometry is much closer to the representation in PTV Vissim, reducing "surprises" and the efforts for corrections when models are transferred from Visum to Vissim. So basically, "What you see in Visum is what you get in Vissim".

As you have probably already suspected - the geometry view of the junction editor now shows not only a single node, but the entire road network. In addition, the groundwork was laid for interactive, and therefore faster editing of the geometry in the junction editor.

For now –objects can already be added or deleted directly. And furthermore, the position of nodes and the course of links can be edited interactively. Discrepancies can be quickly identified and corrected based on the background map that is displayed.

PTV Visum 2022 is now available for download. As we continue to develop new Visum features, we’d love to get your feedback. So let’s chat at the PTV Visum Forum on LinkedIn.
