Short Description
Charge is an innovation project combining transport planning and electricity network planning to understand where charge points are needed, and where and how they can be connected to the electricity grid. Based in the North-West of the UK and led by SP Energy Network – the electricity network operator – the project is helping to facilitate the rollout of charging across the region. This PTV Talks session will focus on the work of the PTV team who have built and developed a set of scenario-based transport models to represent the travel patterns of future EVs and their associated requirements for public charging. A core output from the project – an interactive web-based tool hosting the project outputs will also be demoed.
